The city exchange between Niterói, Brazil, and Rosario, Argentina, brought together municipal officials, technical staff, and violence-prevention practitioners from both cities to share experiences and lessons on reducing urban violence through integrated, evidence-based approaches. The exchange underscored the importance of strong political leadership, institutionalized governance, data-driven decision-making, sustainable investment in prevention, territorial targeting, and community participation as critical ingredients for long-term violence reduction. It identified practical opportunities for both cities to strengthen and adapt their violence-prevention strategies through continued collaboration and peer learning.
