Criteria for Membership

Peace in Our Cities membership comes with certain responsibilities, ensuring that each member enriches the network for all. Members are expected to:

  • Commit to upholding human rights-based approaches to violence prevention and reduction.
  • Develop individualized violence reduction plans in collaboration with the Peace in Our Cities secretariat.
  • Share best practices through joint research initiatives with civil society organizations and local academic institutions.
  • Participate in at least one public/advocacy event each year.
