In the last decade, Rosario has experienced high rates of homicides and other forms of violence, far exceeding the national average. Through coordinated strategies at the local, provincial and national levels, Rosario’s integrated and focused intervention contributed to a 64.3% drop in homicides from 2023 to 2024. Starting with identifying and monitoring patterns of violence through a centralized data collection system, strategies are tailored to the specifics of each neighborhood. By implementing a variety of balanced strategies, violence prevention has become a collective effort.
